STATUS · READ FROM THE REAL SWITCHES

What's actually
switched on.

Not a page we edit when something changes. This asks the running system which modules are live, which are in shadow, and which are on standby — every time you load it. If the answer can't be read, it says so rather than showing you a green tick.

What the three words mean
LIVE

Running, and allowed to act — including messaging real customers where that's the module's job.

SHADOW

Running and computing, but not allowed to send. It logs exactly what it would have done and a human reads it. Every agent starts here.

STANDBY

Built and deployed, switch off. Nothing runs, nothing sends. A missing switch reads as standby — never as live.

HOW THIS PAGE WORKS It reads the same switches the modules themselves read, so it cannot drift from reality the way a hand-maintained status page does. It reports state only — never error messages, provider names or counts, because a public page shouldn't become a window into an incident. And a switch that fails to load is shown as standby, not live: the failure direction is deliberate, so this page can never flatter us by accident.

Two modules are missing on purpose. Inventory and Outlet POS have live states that can't be read from a single switch, and a status page that guesses is worth less than no status page at all.
